WHO WE ARE
An American Music Therapy Association of Students (AMTA- S) chapter at Illinois State University.
A professional organization dedicated to:
-The advocacy of music therapy
-The development of professional music therapy skills
-The creation of relationships among peers
WHAT WE DO
-Host professional development workshops for music therapy students covering topics such as instrument making, guitar and creating a resume
-Serve the community and advocate for music therapy by volunteering at events such as Buddy Walk
-Create social events for students to form both professional and personal connections
-Plan a yearly advocacy event in which the organization invites a music therapist to speak at a public presentation as well as a student presentation
